En 2020 el pensamiento de Dario Fo y Franca Rame sigue siendo símbolo de libertad!
Mientras exista la censura, el pensamiento de Dario Fo y Franca Rame mantendrá su importancia cultural y su capacidad revolucionaria y disruptiva de ponerse como arma contra cualquiera dictadura e intento de supresión del libre pensamiento.
Quien censure se arroga el derecho de limitar las ideas los demás y Dario Fo y Franca Rame han luchado contra eso durante toda su vida.
No es la primera vez que los textos de Dario y Franca son vistos como peligrosos por aquellos que temen la libre circulación de las ideas. Lo que ocurrió en Massa Martana – en la provincia de Perugia – donde no se pudo presentar Il Primo miracolo di Gesù Bambino (El primer milagro del niño Jesús) fue una pequeña pero significativa censura.
51 años después de su primera presentación, Misterio Bufo todavía suscita debate en ciertos círculos.
Las controversias sobre este texto empezaron en 1977 cuando fue transmitido por el canal Rai. Pero el asunto de la censura de los textos de Dario Fo comenzó mucho antes, en 1952 con el monólogo Poer Nano difundido por radio. Luego fueron Il dito nell’occhio e I sani da Legare las obras que llamaron la atención de la censura estatal, como cuentan los dos autores en el libro “Nuovo Manuale Minimo dell’Attore”.
Más tarde, en 1962, ocurrió el célebre episodio de Canzonissima, por lo cual Franca y Dario fueron “literalmente borrados de la pantalla de televisión durante dieciséis años, y eso en el mundo del espectáculo significa estar prohibidos por una eternidad.
Luego, en 2009, Dario Fo decidió contar la historia de Giotto y en el espectáculo revelaba un secreto a voces: las maravillosas pinturas de la nava superior de la basílica de Asís no son obra de Giotto.
El espectáculo tenía que ser presentado justo en Asís, pero fue cancelado después de la intervención del Obispo. Al final, fue presentado en Perugia, enfrente de la Iglesia de San Francisco.
La última de las censuras vividas por Dario Fo fue la que él definió “un segundo Premio Nobel”. De hecho, en 2016 llegó la noticia de que los textos de la pareja Fo Rame habían sido insertados – juntos con los de Shakespeare, Cechov y Brecht – en el índice de libros prohibidos en Turquía. A este respecto, el autor declaró “Cuando hay una autarquía cultural, es una mala señal. Los que se vuelven contra el teatro, contra la cultura, tienen miedo del punto de vista de los demás. Se sienten amenazados.”
Hoy en día, el pensamiento de Dario Fo y Franca Rame sigue siendo símbolo de libertad y de libre circulación de las ideas. Por eso, la Fondazione Fo Rame, fiel a sus objetivos, le invita a adherirse a esta petición.
El teatro es escenario de la vida y siempre ha sido instrumento de difusión cultural. Entonces, censurar los autores es como silenciar a las personas.
